Seabright Beach in Santa Cruz

 The map attached shows how to get to the Santa Cruz Museum
of Natural History which is right accross the street from the beach.

Beach Party Saturday June 11, 2005

What: Beach, Blanket...Bateria, Bonfire
When: Sat., June 11th, 1:00pm till they kick us off
Where: Seabright Beach, Santa Cruz (it sits between
the Boardwalk and the Yemanja Twin Lakes beach).
It's easy to find. Sandy will try to stake out the big firepit
to the right of the main entrance near the bathrooms.

Bring: Friends, Kids, Food to share, Drinks, "shakey
thangs", wood for bonfire, clothing & bankets for all
types of weather (could be steamy hot, then freezing
at night), marshmallows,skewers, weenies, the usual
beach gear,etc...

Note: There is no alcohol, or glass allowed on this
beach.  If you wish to partake in a bit of alcohol, bring
it in a small container (like Simón and his famous punch)
and don't shout about it on the beach.  Teenagers are
often seen being asked to pour beer out from bottles.

For those who want to carpool:
Meet at noon at the parking lot  of:
Office Depot
15166 Los Gatos Blvd.
(It's right off of 17, Lark Ave exit)
*Please make sure someone knows your coming to
carpool, so we don't leave without you if you're
running late.

For those who want to go directly to beach:
For the sake of having an address, there is a small
museum that sits accross the street from the beach's
main entrance (see attached gif):

If you get directions off the web, they will send you
down Ocean Ave which is always full of traffic.
Here is a faster way...

Take 17 south to Hwy 1 south toward Watsonville.
Take Morrissey exit (first exit), curve to the left in order to
Turn right on Morrissey.  Turn RIGHT on Soquel (near Safeway)
Immediately get in left lane to go LEFT at the fork then go RIGHT
to continue on Soquel (see  map above). Turn LEFT on Seabright
(at the Rio theater).  Follow all the way to the end.
You will hit the beach at the end.

Note:  Around the corner from Safeway on Water St. &
Morrissey is a Staff of Life, a  yummy natural grocery
store with v yummy sandwiches, smoothies and baked
things for last minute needs.
